Florence Nightingale Meeting Relocated

The September meeting of the London Circle will be homeless

Our Croydon correspondents, Claire Brialey and Mark Plummer, report that Kevin, the landlord of the Florence Nightingale, has been in touch to say that building work on the pub begins on the last weekend in August for four or five weeks. The September London meeting is therefore homeless.

Claire and Mark merely mutter darkly about Chris O'Shea having set up a "contingency plan", but the supplement to the email edition of last month's Ansible suggests meeting in the Jubilee -- we'll report more here when we know more details.

The projected completion of the work is perilously close to the October meeting, which may also have to move if things go as well as the average building project.
