New York Bid For 2004 Worldcon

A bid has been announced to hold the 2004 Worldcon in New York

Robert Sacks has announced that he is bidding to hold the 2004 Worldcon in New York ("Nieuw Amsterdam") in 2004, with Brian Burley and an as-yet unnamed committee.

Initial reactions on the Smofs mailing list and rec.arts.sf.fandom have not been favourable.
